Come to Class 1-2x weekly (yoga, barre, Feldenkrais)

Meditation Workshop
One Hour: $25
Island local, Christan York, LCSW received her Master’s degree in social work and holds a black belt in the Nia Technique. She has practiced as a Psychotherapist and Life Coach for 23 years and has published a whimsical self-help book titled, “Getting Screwed?” to add humor to the challenges we face daily. Christan enjoys utilizing experiential learning to increase one’s ability to heal through their own experience and execute with precision instead of operating out of chaos.
Island native, Laura Jenks Durand, CLC gained her certification in lactation counseling in 2013 and has a white belt in the Nia Technique. She continues her Nia education through the Nia Technique online resource.
Sound and breath-work will be utilized to instantly change the body’s response to stress by working with the body to physiologically calm the nervous system. A healing crystal quartz bowl will be used to balance and align the body’s chakras. Participants will learn how to turn the volume down on inner dialogue, release stored stress in the body and develop a heightened sense of awareness through meditation techniques.
