Yamuna Body Rolling: Save Your Hips!FC-110122- 003

with Kandy Duke

Saturday 10/11/2014, 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm

If you are super physical and are constantly challenging your body you need to add all the Save Your Hips work to your weekly workouts. If you are sedentary and working hours at a computer, you need to keep your hips from getting stuck and rusty in a sitting position. All of us need to keep our hip joints aligned, greased and oiled all though life for maintaining our circulation and muscular – skeletal integrity from our hip to our feet and from our hips to our head. When your thighbones are restricting your movements, it is usually because they are stuck in some position in the hip joint. This class will explore all the possible movements and connections of how to work the hip joint to the thighbone. We will work the hamstrings, quadriceps, adductors, IT band and deep lateral rotators.

$30 workshop registration

Balls are provided during workshop for use. Kits are available for sale after class for home use.

We are told that the sun and other environmental factors are the primary causes of skin damage. Yamuna believes that just like every other part of our bodies, the face is subject to tremendous repetitive stress from very early on. We begin to frown, squint our eyes, clench our jaws, grind our teeth, tighten our lips and on and on. Each of us has tension patterns that we are no longer aware of that we do constantly, everyday all day. These patterns cause early bone loss, form wrinkles, cause sinus and tension headaches and TMJ. Repetitive stress and tension over the years causes problems with our sinuses, headaches, TMJ, wrinkles and a myriad of other challenges for our irreplaceable faces! In this workshop, you will learn to stimulate bones, muscle and skin, thereby keeping your face more relaxed AND beautiful!

Learning how to work on your own face with specially designed balls will give you a way to prevent aging and when you feel the difference in your face when it is relaxed versus your normal, you will want to incorporate this work into your self-care program.

Table YBR is a nice addition to those wanting to go a little deeper
with Body Rolling. And because not all bodies respond to one single
type of treatment you may find this body work enhances your other body
work.

We start with direct bone stimulation and then work out from where the
tendon attaches to the bone down into the body of the muscle towards
its’ insertion. The ball is used to work each part in traction to
achieve greater length, tone and freedom of movement. As the therapist
works, correcting alignment of bones and muscles throughout the body
is the constant goal. In this treatment a therapist is continually
observing the alignment and correcting it with the one goal; freedom
of movement effortlessly in the client.

Yamuna Body Rolling Workshops: April 26, 2014
